Folders group related studies on the dashboard. Use them to keep each project or client’s studies together.

Create a folder

Only Admins, Supervisors, and Researchers can create folders.
  1. Open the level where you want the folder. Use Studies for the top level.
  2. Click Create Folder.
  3. Type a name and press Enter. Press Escape to cancel.
Folders can hold other folders. To make a subfolder, create the folder inside its parent.

Rename or delete a folder

Only Admins, Supervisors, and Researchers can rename or delete folders.
  1. Hover over the folder card and click the ellipsis (…) icon.
  2. Click Rename, edit the name, and press Enter. Press Escape to cancel.
  3. To delete the folder, click Delete.
  • A blank name cancels the rename.
  • You cannot delete a folder that holds studies or subfolders. Delete is disabled and shows Cannot delete: Folder not empty. Move the contents out first.

Move a study into or out of a folder

Anyone who can edit a study can move it. This includes the Full access and Collaborator study roles. Viewers cannot move studies.
  1. Click the ellipsis (…) icon on the study card.
  2. Click Move to, then choose a folder or Dashboard.
You can also drag a study card onto a folder card. To move a study to the top level, drop it on Studies in the breadcrumb.
  • A study you create inside a folder starts in that folder.
  • The Move to menu does not appear for studies from another workspace.
Import appears only at the top level of the dashboard. Click Studies before you import files.

Move a folder

Only Admins, Supervisors, and Researchers can move folders.
  • Drag a folder onto another folder to nest it.

Shared with me

When someone shares a study with you, it appears in Shared with me. This card appears at the top level of the dashboard. It shows how many studies are shared with you.
  • Shared with me lists studies. It does not hold them, so you cannot move studies into it.
  • You cannot create folders, rename, delete, or drag Shared with me.
  • The list includes studies from other workspaces.
