Research Agent is the AI assistant in the Chat tab of your study. Start a conversation and ask for what you need. Research Agent works with your study data. It does not use web data. Its Python code runs with no internet access.

What you can ask for

  • Analysis: Ask it to compare groups, classify responses, or analyze a question. It runs scripts on your study data.
  • Charts: Ask for a chart. It can add comparison charts and MaxDiff charts, among others.
  • Quotes: Ask for quotes on a topic. Each answer cites the responses it uses.
  • Reels: Ask for a reel of quotes on a theme. New reels appear in the Reels tab.
  • Memos: Ask for a short written memo. You can ask it to edit the memo.
  • Decks: Ask for a PowerPoint deck. To use a workspace template, click + in the chat, choose Presentation templates, and pick a template.

Example prompts

  • “Compare responses from our two segments and flag the differences.”
  • “Write a memo that summarizes the main findings.”
  • “Make a deck with the findings for each study goal.”
Be specific. “What do younger users think about the product design?” gets a better answer than “What do people think?”

Memos and decks, or a full report

Chat makes memos and decks. You get them in the chat. For a full written report, use the Report tab. Click New Report, then AI-generated report. See Report.

The Research Library has its own chat. Use it to ask questions across studies.
